before you select one.
Zipments is a marketplace for "just-in-time" labor, allowing you to make deliveries at a price you can afford. Our couriers range from freelance professionals to job seekers, from full-time courier companies to college students. As a Zipments customer, you can review past delivery performance and ratings before selecting a courier. In addition, we verify key pieces of information about our couriers, and allow them to connect to their social profiles online to give you even more information about themselves.
Here are the icons that you might spot under the "Verifications" section on a courier's profile page, and an explanation of what each icon means.
PayPal Verified
The courier has been verified by PayPal. This process usually involves confirming the courier's identity via a bank account or PayPal Plus credit card, increasing security and ensuring that the courier is ready and willing to perform deliveries.
Every courier must perform this step before they are able to bid on your delivery.
Mobile Phone Verified
We have verified a mobile phone number for the courier. To make sure couriers are able to communicate effectively with Zipments and our customers, we verify their mobile phone number via text message. This ensures that you will be able to contact your courier if needed, and that they will be able to confirm delivery when they've dropped your items off.
Every courier must perform this step before they are able to bid on your delivery.
Connected Facebook Account
The courier has linked their Facebook account to Zipments. Viewing a courier's Facebook account is an easy way to learn a little more about them before you choose them for your delivery. Click on the Facebook icon on the courier's profile page to view their Facebook profile.
Connected Twitter Account
The courier has linked their Twitter account to Zipments. Viewing a courier's Twitter account is an easy way to learn a little more about them before you choose them for your delivery. Click on the Twitter icon on the courier's profile page to view their Twitter profile.
Positively Reviewed
The courier has received top marks for their past deliveries. When you choose a courier, it's helpful to know that this isn't their first rodeo. Note that couriers who haven't been reviewed yet aren't bad couriers — it just means they have less experience on Zipments. You can get more detailed information by viewing past deliveries and reviews on a courier's profile page.
Zipments is a reputation-based marketplace and couriers appreciate your feedback. After each delivery, you will have the option to write your courier a review — we encourage you to do so!
